60 Houses and Counting

In just twenty years the Fisher House Foundation has built 60 houses to support military families while they are getting medical care. Located near VA hospitals or on military bases, the Fisher Houses are ‘a home away from home’ to support our veterans as they or their family members get the care they need.

Currently three are under construction to meet the needs of families in Tennessee, Florida and Texas. But still more are needed. In fact, some communities are raising funds for a second Fisher House in their area. For example, a new house has been approved for expansion in Denver. They have raised $600,000 towards the $3 million goal. Construction is expected to start in 2015 to coincide with a new VA facility in the area.

The local community is supporting the campaign with golf tournaments and more, but of course, additional funds are needed. Donate your car via Vets Vehicles to help support Fisher House and other veterans’ organization. Or, for a quick donation of money: text “noble” to 50155.
