CreatiVets – Vets Supporting Vets

Here at Vets Vehicles, we are always on the lookout for organizations, run by Vets that are helping other Vets.
Meet CreatiVets. Based in Nashville, TN, CreatiVets’ mission is to empower wounded veterans to heal through the arts and music. Their primary focus is reducing the effects of post-traumatic-stress-disorder(PTSD) and the effects of tramatic brain injury (TBI) that often to contribute to suicide among veterans.

They accomplish this mission by partnering with colleges and universities to offer specialized art and music courses, geared specifically to veterans. Their flagship program, Art for Combat Veterans has been held at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) since 2015, and it continues to be a central draw for veterans whose anxiety is outweighed by the excitement of attending a world-class art institution. They have also worked with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and University of Southern California (USC).

In addition to arts programs, they offer a variety of music-based classes through partnerships with the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Vanderbilt University as well as numerous songwriters and producers.
